On the night of 28 July m, the Russian army launched 131 drones of various types at Ukraine. Air defences neutralised 107 of them. Authorities recorded strikes by 16 attack UAVs at nine locations, and debris fell in six other places.
“On the night of 28 July (from 18:00 on 27 July), the enemy attacked with 131 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered versions), Gerbera, Italmas, and decoy drones of the Parodiya type from the following directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol — Russia; Donetsk — temporarily occupied territory; Hvardiyske — temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” they said.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defences shot down and suppressed 107 Russian UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and drones of other types in the north, south, centre, and east of the country.
As of the morning of 28 July, the attack is ongoing, with Russian UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
