In the Kherson Region, one person was killed and four others were wounded over the course of the day as a result of Russian shelling.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
“Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson Region prosecutor’s offices, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of war crimes (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the statement said.
According to investigators, throughout 27 July the Russian army shelled settlements in the Kherson Region using barrel artillery and drones of various types.
As of 17:30, one civilian has been confirmed killed and four others wounded.
At around 13:00 in Kherson, a civilian man was killed after triggering an explosive device.
In addition, three residents of Kherson and one woman from Antonivka were injured by UAVs used by Russian forces.
Private homes, a cultural institution building, and passenger vehicles were also damaged.
Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all necessary measures to document war crimes committed by Russian troops.
