Defense companies that have been granted critical status by a decision of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense must submit documents to confirm it by August 10. If they miss the deadline, they may lose the right to reserve employees liable for military service.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.
The ministry noted that most companies will follow a simplified confirmation procedure without resubmitting a full set of documents. At the same time, companies that received the status under the BRAVE1 grant criterion must undergo full re-confirmation.
The Ministry of Defense stressed that submitting documents on time is a mandatory condition for retaining critical-enterprise status and keeping employee reservations valid.
If documents are submitted by the установленого deadline, the decision designating the company as critical will remain in force until the end of its validity period. If a company eligible for the simplified procedure fails to submit the required documents, its status will be revoked from September 1, 2026, along with the reservation of employees liable for military service.
The simplified status confirmation procedure applies to:
- prime contractors and subcontractors under state defense contracts;
- Defence City residents;
- manufacturers of explosives and ammunition included in the relevant register;
- defense-industrial complex enterprises in the aircraft manufacturing and space sectors that have been recognized as important to the national economy.
A full set of documents must be submitted by companies that received BRAVE1 grants to develop defense innovations. To do so, they must provide an application to the Ministry of Defense, a copy of the grant agreement, and confirmation of receipt of the grant funds.
Documents can be submitted electronically to [email protected] (with a qualified electronic signature applied) or in paper form to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense also published a detailed explanation of the procedure for confirming critical-enterprise status and the step-by-step algorithm for defense-industry companies.
