As a result of Russian shelling from 6 a.m. on August 11 to 6 a.m. on August 12, two people were killed and 14 were wounded. The fatalities occurred after a Shahed drone strike on Kherson at around 1:40 a.m.
Two more people were injured in the attack: a 46-year-old man was hospitalized with blast injuries and burns to 60% of his head, torso, limbs, and face. Antonivka, Stepanivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Kyselivka, Stanislav, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Tomyna Balka, Poniativka, Chaichyne, Beryslav, Urozhayne, Stepne, Krasnosilske, Novovoskresenske, Rakivka, Novoraisk, Sahaidachne, Novovorontsovka, Nova Kuban, Charivne, Biliaivka, Burhunka, Zolota Balka, Mylove, Mykhailivka, Novoberyslav, Respublikants, Tiahynka, Khreshchenivka, Mykolaivka, and Kherson were under hostile air attacks, drone terror, and artillery shelling. Civilian infrastructure was hit.
“Russian forces struck critical and social infrastructure and residential areas in communities across the region, damaging five apartment buildings and 27 private homes. The occupiers also wrecked a cultural center, shops, a cell tower, route minibuses, and private cars,” the statement said.
