Today, 18 August, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Pechenihy in Kharkiv Region. According to updated information, the number of injured has risen from eight to 17. Ten people were killed.
The attack was reported by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Synyehubov. The Prosecutor General’s Office also confirmed the information.
“Russian forces launched a missile strike on Pechenihy,” the regional administration chief wrote.
As a result of the strike, 10 private homes, a café, a post office, a shop and at least seven vehicles were damaged.
According to preliminary reports, Russia used two Banderole missiles.
“Early this morning, the Russians brutally struck a busy intersection in Pechenihy, Kharkiv Region — an area where a post office and shops are located, surrounded by residential buildings,” the President commented on the attack.
