As of the morning of 11 September, Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling have caused new power outages in the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.

Ukrenergo reported that emergency repair and restoration work is already under way where security conditions allow. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible.

Electricity consumption has increased. Today, 11 September, as of 09:30, it was 6.3% higher than at the same time yesterday. The reason is cloudy weather in parts of Ukraine’s western regions. This reduces the efficiency of household solar power plants and, accordingly, increases the volume of energy consumption from the main grid.

Yesterday, the daily peak in consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 1.3% higher than the previous day’s peak. The reason was higher air temperatures, which prompted consumers to make active use of air conditioning.

Given the weather conditions, it is advisable to shift high electricity use today to the period when industrial solar power plants operate most effectively — from 10:00 to 16:00.

The situation in the power system may change, so it is necessary to follow updates on the website and the official social media pages of the regional power distribution companies.
