Over the past day, the Russian army killed two residents of Sumy Region and injured a further 16. Four children are among those hurt.
The regional police reported this.
In the Sumy community, 12 civilians were injured as a result of an attack with guided aerial bombs: four children (girls aged 17 and 8, boys aged 14 and 8), men aged 64, 69 and 53, and women aged 54, 72, 58, 44 and 47. A 44-year-old woman was injured as a result of a UAV strike.
A 35-year-old man sought medical help after being injured on 8 September in a hostile UAV attack in the Sumy community.
In the Shostka community, a 49-year-old man was killed as a result of a hostile drone strike, and a 47-year-old woman was injured.
A 78-year-old woman died in hospital after being injured on 8 September when hostile drones struck a train in Sumy district.
In the Hlukhiv community, a 41-year-old man sought medical help after being injured on 9 September as a result of a hostile drone strike.
For each of these incidents, police investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
