Russia Launches 200 Attack Drones Overnight

On the night of 15 September, starting from 18:00, Russia attacked Ukrainians with 200 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), “Gerbera”, and decoy drones of the “Parodiya” type. The strikes were launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk and Millerovo in Russia, as well as from occupied Donetsk and Crimea.

The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Force.

“According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defence has shot down/suppressed 187 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other types. Hits by the enemy’s air attack assets were recorded at seven locations, and the fall of downed drones (debris) at three locations,” the statement said.

The attack is ongoing. In the morning, the enemy struck a petrol station in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district and non-residential buildings in Solomianskyi.
