Russian forces used relays on Belarusian territory during attacks by strike drones on the Rivne, Volyn and Lviv regions on 13 September.
This was stated by State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andrii Demchenko on the national telethon.
According to him, Belarus continues to support Russia during the war against Ukraine.
"Even the air strikes that concerned the Rivne, Volyn and Lviv regions were effectively also enabled from Belarusian territory. The aerial assets launched by Russia were fed with a signal via relays that were also located precisely on the territory of this country," Demchenko said.
At the same time, the State Border Guard Service spokesperson noted that Ukrainian border guards are not recording a build-up of Belarusian strike groupings near the border with Ukraine. However, the threat from the Belarusian direction remains.
- On 13 September, a Russian drone attacked the locomotive of an international passenger train about two kilometres from the border with Poland.
- A monitoring group warned the brigade in advance about the threat, thanks to which none of the passengers or staff were injured.
- It later became known that returning home on this train were an adviser to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Günther Sautter, and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
