Meta co-founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled new hardware and features at the annual Meta Connect developers’ conference to integrate the Muse artificial intelligence agent.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
In particular, he introduced a portable device called Muse Charm, which works with Meta’s recently released personal Muse AI agent.
Muse Charm is a pocket-watch-sized device that brings the Muse AI agent into the physical world. The gadget has a large screen, a small lanyard for wearing, and a camera. A fingerprint sensor is located in the top-right corner. According to Zuckerberg, pressing it will activate the device and allow users to start a conversation with the AI agent.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, users will be able to talk to the gadget to interact with their Meta AI agents “without unlocking their phone or opening an app”. He also added that the device will go on sale “before the holidays in December”. Meta’s chief executive did not name the price.
“We’ve packed a lot of technology into this small device,” Meta’s head said. “So if you don’t wear glasses (smart glasses), this will be the fastest way to talk to Muse and show what’s happening around you.”
Muse, your personal agent, now has voice and real-time video. You can have long conversations and Muse will work in the background and get things done for you as you're talking. We're also bringing Muse to glasses so you can talk hands-free throughout the day. pic.twitter.com/0sfSXrYyvl

Zuckerberg also announced new models of smart glasses, including audio-only smart glasses without cameras. He also presented a new generation of the popular Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and virtual reality glasses. The latter will be thinner and lighter than the company’s older VR headsets. They will go on sale in spring 2027, priced at $1,299.
Meta’s head gave a live demonstration of a new Muse agent feature on the glasses, asking it via the glasses to book time in his calendar for an upcoming meeting.
Meta launched Muse on 8 September. The AI agent can carry out user tasks, including planning their schedule by making the relevant changes to the calendar, writing emails, searching for products and making purchases, and even calling business counterparts.
In the first two weeks, the app was downloaded more than 2.5 million times. Muse ranks first among free apps in the US App Store, ahead of ChatGPT. Meta shares rose by more than 20% in the two weeks after its launch.
At the same time, Amazon blocked personal Muse from being able to buy products in its app, saying this violates the service’s terms of use.
