On the night of 27 September, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 170 attack drones of the Shahed type, including 76 jet-powered ones, as well as decoy drones of the "Parodiya" type.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The drones were launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Shatalovo in Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Crimea (the Hvardiiske area).
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
As of 07:30, air defences had destroyed or suppressed 147 enemy UAVs.
At the same time, impacts by air attack weapons were recorded at 18 locations. At a further eight locations, downed Russian drones and their debris fell.
The attack is ongoing. Several enemy UAVs remain in Ukraine’s airspace.
