In the Volyn Region, a Russian drone came down near the Ukrainian-Polish border, close to the international border crossing point "Yahodyn".
This was reported by the acting head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, Roman Romaniuk.
"Today, during an air-raid alert in the Kamin-Kashyrskyi and Kovel districts of the region, one hostile UAV of the 'Shahed' type (jet-powered) was recorded. Unfortunately, there was a strike near the border with the Republic of Poland in the village of Starovoitove (international border crossing point 'Yahodyn'), Kovel district," the statement said.
The blast wave damaged the checkpoint building at the terminal entrance. No reports of injuries or fatalities have been received.
- On 13 September, a Russian drone attack damaged a petrol station near the "Yahodyn–Dorohusk" international border crossing on the border with Poland. Falling debris set fire to the petrol station premises and several lorries parked nearby.
