Servicemen from one of the separate mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces have carried out the first logistics mission using an amphibious ground robotic system developed in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defence reported this.
For this mission, the system was refined over several months in close cooperation with the military, taking into account real tasks, operational experience and the specifics of the front-line terrain.
The Ministry of Defence explains that water obstacles on the front line are a real problem for military logistics. Rivers, canals and marshy areas can complicate or completely block a route for a conventional ground robotic system. Air logistics is also not always the best solution.
“An amphibious ground robotic system makes it possible to complete such a route with a single platform. On land, it retains the high cross-country capability of a ground robotic system, and within seconds it can switch to water and continue moving. In other words, one robot gains more options for carrying out missions across different terrain,” the Ministry of Defence noted.
It is noted that the Brave1 defence innovation cluster provided grant support for the system, helping bring the solution to practical use. In particular, in June 2026, Brave1’s updated grant programme launched a dedicated “Amphibious Ground Robotic Systems” track.
Overall, according to the DELTA combat system, from the start of 2026 to early September, around 112,000 logistics and evacuation missions by ground robotic systems were recorded.
