In Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district, unexploded warheads from two ballistic missiles used by the enemy in a night-time attack on 29 September were made safe. Both fell right next to residential buildings.
Each warhead weighed about half a tonne, police in Kyiv reported. The removal was carried out by police bomb disposal experts.
“Police bomb disposal experts rendered the warheads safe. Subsequently, using specialised equipment, these fragments will be taken away for further disposal at a dedicated training ground,” law enforcement officers said.
Residents were urged not to approach suspicious or explosive objects. Any such find should be reported immediately by calling 101 or 102.
