Over the past day, the Russian army continued its attacks on the Sumy Region. Two people were injured by enemy drones.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration, and confirmed by the head of the Sumy City Military Administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko.
In the Sumy community, a 46-year-old man was injured as a result of a Russian drone strike, and in the Bezdrik community, a 31-year-old man.
Over the day, Russian forces carried out more than 40 attacks on 14 settlements across nine territorial communities in the Region.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts. The Russians used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs against the territory of the Sumy Region.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed.
In the Sumy community, blocks of flats, non-residential buildings, cars and a lorry were damaged. On the night of 3 October, three multi-storey buildings were damaged as a result of a UAV strike, preliminarily identified as a Molniya, on a residential block of flats in Sumy’s Zarichnyy district. About 30 windows and balcony frames were blown out. Cars parked nearby were also damaged.
In the Bezdrik community, a non-residential premises was damaged, and in the Hlukhiv community a block of flats, non-residential buildings and a car were damaged.
In the Esman community, homes were destroyed and damaged; in the Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne and Znob-Novhorod communities, as a result of shelling carried out by the enemy earlier, homes were destroyed and damaged, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Over the day, the air-raid alert in the region lasted 20 hours and 11 minutes.
