Passengers and staff were evacuated from Chisinau International Airport named after Eugen Doga following a report of a possible bomb threat.
This was reported by the airport’s press service.
The airport declared an alert due to the bomb threat. Specialised units of Moldova’s Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene.
Passenger check-in has currently been suspended. The situation may lead to changes in the schedule of planned flights.
The airport administration urged passengers due to fly today to check the current status of their flight on the online departures and arrivals board.
