Air Defences Neutralise 131 of 157 Russian Attack Drones

On the night of 3 October, Russia attacked Ukraine with 157 attack unmanned aerial vehicles, 45 of them jet-powered. Ukraine’s air defence forces neutralised 131 enemy drones.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"On the night of 3 October (from 18:00 on 2 October), the enemy attacked with 157 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (45 of them jet-powered), Gerbera, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, temporarily occupied Donetsk and temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea – Hvardiiske," the statement said.

The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.

As of 09:00, air defence forces had shot down or suppressed 131 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other types.

Hits by the enemy’s air attack weapons were recorded at 12 locations, and falling debris at five locations.

On the morning of 3 October, the enemy attacked Odesa Region with loitering munitions of the “Banderol” type. The consequences of the attack are being уточнюються.

"The attack is ongoing; there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace. Follow safety rules!" the Air Force stressed.
