On the night of 10 October, Poland issued a warning to residents of the Lublin and Subcarpathian voivodeships due to a Russian air attack on Ukraine. Military aircraft were scrambled as a result.
This was reported by Poland’s Government Security Centre (RCB) on X.
“A Russian air attack on the territory of Ukraine. The situation is being monitored. Polish aircraft are operating in the country’s airspace,” the message received by residents of the two voivodeships said.
Later, the RCB sent a follow-up notification stating that the air attack on Ukraine had ended and that there was no threat to Poland.
Attacks on the Night of 10 October
- As a result of a Russian strike on a transport infrastructure facility in Korosten, Zhytomyr region, one person was injured.
- In Kyiv region’s Bucha district, three people were injured in a night-time attack by Russian drones. All were taken to a local hospital.
- Over the course of the night of 10 October, Russian forces attacked Ivano-Frankivsk five times. Air defence forces were operating during the air raid threat.
- As a result of a Russian attack in Vinnytsia region, an outbuilding caught fire and a private home was damaged. One person was injured.
- On the morning of 10 October, a Russian drone attempted to attack Lviv. Air defences were operating.
- In Poltava region, power lines were damaged by falling debris from a Russian drone. Seven settlements were left without electricity.
- Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 160 strike drones of various types. Of these, 110 were jet-powered.
