The Defence Procurement Agency (DOT) within Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence contracted 300% more unmanned aircraft in 2026 than in the whole of last year.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence.
Over recent months, the agency has contracted roughly 5.5 times more drones of various types than in the same period of 2025.
The volume of FPV drone contracts in 2026 has already exceeded the figure for the whole of 2025 by 54%. At the same time, deliveries of such unmanned aircraft have increased by almost 3.7 times.
The Ministry of Defence noted that it had been possible to increase procurement thanks to support from international partners and the expansion of production capacity in Ukraine’s defence-industrial complex.
- Ukraine received a further €1.2bn from the European Union under the Ukraine Support Loan. The funds will be directed towards priority defence needs.
