In the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, children are being drawn into the structures of Russia’s security apparatus. In Henichesk, two cadet classes of the Russian Investigative Committee have been opened at School No. 4.

This is reported by the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement.

Pupils will study legal subjects and the basics of forensic science, and will also take part in civic and patriotic events.

In total, 15 such classes are already operating in occupied Kherson region.

The resistance movement notes that, under the guise of additional education, the occupiers are integrating children into Russia’s security system and shaping their loyalty to Russian state institutions from an early age.

  • So-called classes for “motivated schoolchildren” are in fact a tool of forced militarisation of children and early preparation for service in the punitive structures of the aggressor state.
  • Russians are systematically imposing militaristic propaganda on Ukrainian children in temporarily seized territories. The so-called “Yunarmiya” and other “patriotic” organisations created by the Kremlin have become instruments of ideological pressure.
