Ukraine’s Defence Forces have struck a number of military facilities belonging to the Russian army in occupied territories and in Russia’s Kursk Region. Among the targets hit were a launcher for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, ammunition and logistics depots, as well as the enemy’s repair units.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
The strikes took place on 29 October and overnight into 30 October. Ukrainian troops detected the Iskander-M launcher in the area of Fatezh in Kursk Region, near a ballistic missile transhipment site.
In addition, Russian ammunition depots near Maloianysol in Donetsk Region, Novoiehorivka in Kharkiv Region, and Hanusivka in Luhansk Region were hit.
The Defence Forces also struck an occupiers’ logistics depot in the area of Bilovodsk, a repair unit near Rubizhne, and a repair-and-recovery base of Russian troops in the area of Pysarivka in Luhansk Region.
The General Staff stressed that destroying Iskander-M launchers reduces the Russian army’s ability to carry out ballistic strikes on Ukrainian cities. At the same time, hitting depots and repair facilities weakens the occupation forces’ supply of ammunition and makes it harder to restore damaged equipment.
- Earlier, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a missile strike using the Neptune system on the Marinovka airfield in Russia’s Volgograd Region, where Russian aircraft were based. As a result of the attack, two Su-34 fighter-bombers were destroyed. The Russian army uses these aircraft, among other things, to strike Ukrainian cities and Defence Forces positions with guided aerial bombs.
