European aerospace company Destinus, which has Ukrainian roots, has increased production of its Ruta B1 cruise missiles to 300 units a month. This is stated in the company’s press release.
Destinus designs the missile airframes, guidance systems and onboard avionics in-house. In addition, the company has developed and manufactures the T150 turbojet engine that powers the Ruta B1.
Destinus is a European company founded by Swiss entrepreneur of Russian origin Mikhail Kokorich, who renounced his Russian citizenship after the start of the full-scale invasion; the company’s co-founder and president is Oleksandr Danyliuk, Ukraine’s former finance minister (2016–2018).
The company is developing the Ruta cruise missile: Block 1 is already in serial production in the Netherlands and is being supplied to Ukraine; Block 2 is undergoing flight tests in Ukraine, with plans to roll out production in 2026; and the next-generation Block 3 (range 2,000 km, 250 kg warhead, turbojet engine, autonomous navigation) is set to enter flight testing in 2027.
In October 2025, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ruta missile-drone struck an offshore platform for the first time at a distance of more than 250 km.
