Since the start of 31 October, 245 combat clashes have taken place along the front line. Russian forces were most active on the Pokrovsk axis, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 55 attacks.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational update.
Over the past day, the Russian army carried out 53 air strikes, dropped 159 guided aerial bombs, deployed 4,517 kamikaze drones, and conducted 1,927 shelling attacks on populated areas and the positions of Ukrainian troops.
On the Pokrovsk axis, combat clashes took place in the areas of Sofiivka, Toretske, Kucherovyi Yar, Vilne, Dobropillia, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Krasnopillia, Virivka, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Molodetske, Novopidhordne, Novomykolaivka, Biliakivka and Novopavlivka. At the time the update was published, one battle was still ongoing.
According to the General Staff’s preliminary estimates, 76 Russian servicemen were killed in this sector over the past day and another 17 were wounded. Ukrainian units also destroyed four vehicles, one piece of specialised equipment, three UAV control points, an ammunition depot and 42 enemy shelters. Some additional enemy equipment and shelters were damaged. In addition, 162 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the Defence Forces repelled 15 attempts by Russian troops to advance near Kostiantynivka, Novoselivka and Mykolaipillia. On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, 13 combat clashes were recorded, and on the Lyman axis there were nine.
On the Huliaipole axis, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Ternuvate, Dolynka, Hirke, Charivne and Yehorivka. On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna axis, seven battles took place, and on the Sloviansk axis there were four.
On the Kramatorsk axis, Ukrainian troops twice halted the enemy’s advance near Tykhonivka and Malynivka. On the Oleksandrivka axis, one assault attempt was repelled in the area of Ternove, and on the Orikhiv axis Russian forces were pushed back near Pavlivka.
On the Kupiansk and Dnipro axes, Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations. No significant changes in the situation were recorded on other sections of the front.
