Ukrainian company Vitrolom has developed the ultra-light tracked ground robotic complex ‘Krit’, designed to remotely deliver explosives and destroy enemy fortifications. The platform was presented at the IRON HALLOWEEN PARTY 2026 event. This is reported by the Oboronka outlet, whose correspondent attended the event.

According to the developers, ‘Krit’ was created in response to the military’s need for an inexpensive and simple means of remotely striking fortified positions, trenches, basements and built-up areas. Assaulting such sites involves significant risks for personnel, while the use of large or costly ground robotic complexes is complicated by their weight and logistics.

The platform concept prioritises minimal dimensions and low cost. Thanks to its light weight, the robot can be delivered to the mission area by heavy bomber drones or mobile “mothership” platforms. It is then used to blow up fortifications on the principle of a cheap kamikaze robot.

“The lads’ request was to create a cheap, mass-produced and максимально simple product that could be used to blow apart entrances using a TM-62. We used our own in-house gearbox designs, motors and components from FPV drones. The result is a platform costing 25,000 hryvnias — on a par with a basic FPV. At the same time, the robot has high cross-country capability: it cuts through fibre-optic cable and moves спокойно through mud and sand,” a Vitrolom representative said.

The ‘Krit’ design allows for the installation of TM-62 series mines or other munitions available within units. Thanks to its compact size, the platform can be lifted by heavy bombers, including Vampire or Heavy Shot, and dropped near the target.

Three communications options are предусмотрено for controlling the complex: a traditional radio channel, fibre-optic control that provides resilience against electronic warfare, and a Starlink Mini satellite terminal. The latter is available in the ‘Krit-Zoria’ modification, intended for missions at extended range.

According to the manufacturer, the robotic complex’s own weight with the battery is 4.6 kg. Depending on the modification, the platform’s weight ranges from 4 to 6 kg. At the same time, ‘Krit’ can carry a payload of up to 16 kg. The chassis dimensions are 590 mm in length, 490 mm in width and 280 mm in height. The maximum speed over rough terrain reaches 10 km/h, the developers note.

The basic version of the complex with radio control and a battery costs from 25,000 hryvnias. The final price depends on the configuration chosen by the customer.

The company said that ‘Krit’ has already undergone a series of field trials and joint tests with service personnel. Based on the results, the manufacturer refined the running gear and transmission. Vitrolom has now completed the final verification cycle for the platform, officially presented the development and opened sales of the ground robotic complex to units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
