The Russian army attacked energy infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region on the evening of 3 November and overnight into 4 November. The Zhytomyr, Korosten and Zviahel districts were affected, according to Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Regional Military Administration.

A residential building and a privately owned passenger car were damaged. After the all-clear, energy workers began repair work, which is still ongoing.

“Restoration of the power supply and reconnection of customers is continuing. No information has been received about any deaths or injuries,” Bunechko said.

The Zhytomyr City Council reported that the water utility is gradually restoring the water supply system to normal operation. Water supply to homes in the city was restored last night thanks to a generator. The system will later be switched back to the main source.

As a result of the citywide power outage, there were also disruptions to heat supply. All boiler houses are connected, but interruptions may occur.
