On 3 November, a majority of MPs in Latvia’s new Saeima adopted a decision formalising the refusal to set up parliamentary groups to promote co-operation with the parliaments of Russia and Belarus.
This is the first draft decision approved by the 15th Saeima after its first sitting, Delfi reports.
The only MPs to vote against the decision were from the Sovereign Power/Young Latvians party.
The initiative was backed by all MPs from the United List, the National Alliance, the Latvia First party, the Progressives and New Unity.
