Ukrainian company TENETA Defence unveiled a four-shot net launcher for aerial interception of drones and an automated protection system for ground vehicles at the IRON HALLOWEEN PARTY 2026 event. This was reported by the publication “Oboronka”, whose correspondent attended the event.
The aerial system is designed to be mounted on unmanned aircraft and to intercept enemy FPV drones. Its key feature is the ability to fire four times thanks to autonomous replaceable cartridges. For now, the system has the working name “air-to-air”, and the developers continue to refine its use from aerial platforms.
The total weight of the system is about 800 grams, while a single cartridge weighs 165 grams. The developers explain that this design makes it possible to equip standard FPV drones with a 10-inch frame and a payload capacity of up to 2 kg with the four-shot system without critical overloading.
The second product presented is an automated protection system for armoured vehicles, cars and ground robotic systems. It works on the principle of an active protection system: when a threat approaches, the unit must deploy a net as quickly as possible and intercept the drone.
Targets are detected using an electro-optical module with a machine-vision model based on artificial intelligence. The company integrated this component through co-operation with another manufacturer.
The developers say the ground system can throw a net to a distance of up to 10 metres. Maximum deployment of the netting occurs at a range of 7–10 metres from the unit. According to a company representative, the system is already ready to be integrated onto combat equipment, vehicles and UGV platforms.
To connect to external target-detection systems, TENETA Defence also offers a simplified interfacing module, which should make it easier to integrate the system with other detection tools.
Recently, Ukrainian company Ptashka Drones released footage showing an FPV drone equipped with its “Ptashka” net launcher intercepting a Russian strike UAV, the “Molniya-2”.
