President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the electricity supply situation in Kyiv remains especially difficult, with residents and businesses suffering from hours-long power and water outages.
The head of state reported this on social media following a conference call on dealing with the aftermath of Russian attacks.
There are also problems with energy supply in a number of other regions. According to the head of state, the situation is also difficult in Kyiv Region, Zhytomyr Region, Chernihiv Region, Sumy Region, Poltava Region, Kharkiv Region, Cherkasy Region, Vinnytsia Region and Donetsk Region.
Ukraine Has Agreements on New Packages of Energy Support
In the southern regions, rolling and emergency outages are in place. Zelenskyy noted that repair work is being delayed due to repeated Russian strikes and air-raid alerts. At the same time, Ukraine has built up reserves of the necessary equipment, and agreements have already been reached with partners on new packages of energy support.
"Across the entire country, there must be the fastest possible and comprehensive work by state bodies, regional and local authorities, and every company that provides people with electricity, heat and water," the president stressed.
He instructed the government and law enforcement agencies to prepare by the end of the day a list of measures to ensure full co-operation with companies that are falling behind on repairs and the restoration of energy infrastructure. Zelenskyy emphasised that this applies to enterprises regardless of their form of ownership.
Separately, during the meeting, the Armed Forces of Ukraine command reported on the organisation of electronic warfare operations. Following the discussion, the necessary steps were identified.
