The Civil Cassation Court within the Supreme Court has upheld the legality of rulings declaring unjustified the assets of the family of Artem Trebesov, the former acting head of the Kharkiv Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centre.
This was reported by the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators found that during 2023–2024, close relatives of the serviceman acquired two cars as private property — a 2023 BMW X6 and a 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The total value of these vehicles is 4.85 million hryvnias.
At the time of the purchase, the official headed a district military enlistment office and later served as acting head of the regional recruitment centre.
A review of the family’s income and expenditure showed they had no lawful financial means to acquire such property, the SAPO said.
Following a lawsuit based on materials from the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, the state confiscated one of the cars and the monetary value of the other, for a total sum of more than 4 million hryvnias.
The Supreme Court’s ruling has entered into force and is not subject to appeal, the prosecutors added.
