On the night of 8 November, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on the energy infrastructure of Dnipropetrovsk Region. The strikes damaged key energy facilities, leaving more than 600,000 customers without electricity.

This was reported by DTEK and the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.

Residents of the Dnipro, Kamianske, Samar, Pavlohrad and Synelnykove districts, as well as the city of Dnipro, were left without power.

Hospitals and critical infrastructure sites are switching to generator power. Power engineers are already working to restore electricity supply. At the same time, the work is being complicated by repeated Russian attacks.

First and foremost, specialists are trying to restore power to critical infrastructure facilities. Residents who still have electricity are being urged to use it sparingly.

Overall, overnight Russian forces attacked four districts of the region with drones more than 10 times.

In the Dnipro and Kamianske districts, infrastructure was damaged. In the Nikopol area, the district centre was hit, and in the Pokrov community an apartment block was wrecked.

In the Dubovyky community of the Synelnykove district, a private home was damaged and a fire broke out.
