During the night-time attack on Kyiv, the Russians fired six missiles towards the Northern Bridge.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an evening video address.

According to him, four missiles struck the bridge.

“The Russians are striking bridges across the Dnipro from Kyiv to Zaporizhzhia. On the night in question, there were hits on Kyiv’s Northern Bridge. Six ballistic missiles were aimed at the bridge, and there were four hits,” the head of state said.

Zelenskyy added that he had discussed this with Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi and Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi.

“Kyiv needs alternative transport arrangements. And as of today, the reserves specifically for transport are, unfortunately, insufficient, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs is now dealing with this — I hope together with the Kyiv City Administration,” Zelenskyy added.

  • At around 1am on 7 November, the Russians launched a new wave of missile attacks on Kyiv and the capital region. Six people were injured, including in the Solomianskyi district, which was hit hardest. Those affected include a child.
  • Energy facilities were also damaged in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.
