Germany has currently exhausted its resources for supplying Ukraine with Patriot air defence systems.

This was stated by German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius, Focus reports.

According to him, Germany has already transferred several Patriot systems and guided missiles to Ukraine, and the minister is now ruling out further deliveries. Pistorius said that anything Berlin hands over now cannot be replaced in the near term, which would create gaps in Germany’s own defences. He concluded that the country cannot provide more at present, so other states must now help more actively. The issue will be discussed in mid-November at a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.

Pistorius also noted that despite winter air attacks, Moscow will not be able to turn the course of the war in its favour. On the ground, Russian forces are making no advances but are suffering enormous losses — 30,000 to 40,000 soldiers every month.

In addition, the minister expressed doubts about achieving peace quickly through Donald Trump’s actions. He stressed that any agreement depends on Putin and the US position, but negotiations behind Kyiv’s back are unacceptable, as Ukraine’s sovereignty must be preserved.

Pistorius added that Europe will not be able to guarantee peace on its own if it is not involved in the negotiating process, and that Trump is aware of these European security interests.

  • In recent days, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had met with Pistorius and agreed to work on speeding up the delivery of PAC-2 missiles.
