In Zhytomyr, schools that have been left without heating after a Russian strike on a boiler house on 7 November will temporarily switch to remote learning.

This was reported by the Zhytomyr City Council.

Nurseries that currently have no heating will temporarily move children to other pre-school education institutions.

City hospitals and clinics are operating. The treatment process is therefore not being interrupted.

“At present, heating engineers are making every effort to restore the boiler house’s operation and bring heat back to the city’s homes and institutions. Teams are working in an intensified mode,” the city hall added.

  • From the evening of 7 November, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on Zhytomyr Region. As a result of the attacks, private homes and heat and energy supply facilities were damaged.
