President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with all heads of regional administrations, announcing that this format of regional meeting will now take place weekly.
Today’s meeting focused, among other things, on the needs of frontline and border regions and communities, according to his Telegram channel.
In Sumy region, specific tasks were set for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counter Russian operations.
“Kharkiv region: a report on the region’s resilience plan and preparing critical infrastructure for winter. Dnipro region: a report on restoring electricity after the strikes overnight and this morning,” the President said.
During the meeting, they also discussed in detail the situation in Zhytomyr region and the challenges facing the energy system, including distribution and transmission facilities. A separate task on this has been assigned to the Ministry of Energy.
Zelensky also heard a report on Kherson and the overall situation in Kherson region.
“Unfortunately, under the cover of a humanitarian operation in Oleshky, the Russian army carried out a significant rotation of personnel and equipment on the left bank. Additional occupying forces were brought into Oleshky and the surrounding community. The AFU command must present proposals for additional protection of lives in Kherson from Russian terror,” the President stressed.
In addition, there was a report on the situation in Zaporizhzhia and meeting the region’s needs.
“We spoke in detail about the situation in Donetsk region and, in particular, in Kramatorsk. The Russians have significantly intensified shelling of the city and the surrounding community. We will determine countermeasures at the Staff meeting. At government level and together with the President’s Office team, tasks for other regions have been worked through,” Zelensky added.
