The building of Holosiyiv district court of Kyiv was caught fire on Friday night.
The fire was liquidated by 03:23, the website of the State Service for Emergency Situations reported.
Journalist Iryna Romaliyska posted the photos of the fire on her Facebook and wrote that the fire originated in the office of Mykola Didyk, who is presiding in the trial of captured Russian special troops Evgeniy Yerofeyev and Aleksandr Aleksandrov.
Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoly Matios, who was seen near the court building, said that unknown people had thrown Molotov cocktails in the window of Didyk's office on the third floor.
The court's head, Ihor Honcharov, said that no documents in the case were destroyed by fire as they are stored in a different place.
The court's chancery told Ukrainian News that the trial in Yerofeyev and Alexandrov case, despite the fire, will resume on Friday.
Heorhiy Hrabovskyy, the defence lawyer for Aleksandrov was murdered in early March.
