A regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass started on 21 September in Minsk, said the press secretary of Leonid Kuchma, who represents Ukraine at the talks.
This is the second meeting of the group in September. During previous session that kicked off on 7 September, the parties agreed that the ceasefire declared since the beginning of the month was being maintained as a whole.
Since then, a series of meetings devoted to the Ukrainian question has been held. In particular, foreign ministers of France and Germany have visited Kyiv, and Slavyansk and Kramatorsk in the east of Ukraine.
President Petro Poroshenko discussed the security situation in Donbas with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and later delivered a great speech at the international conference Yalta European Strategy (YES), in which he refused to recognize the priority of political provisions of the Minsk agreements.
On September 20, French President Francois Hollande announced that the leaders of Norman Four would meet in the coming weeks.
