The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption says it will provide the access to e-declarations exclusively during the investigation of specific criminal cases.
"The provision of any information from the Register of e-declarations of incomeы and assets may be carried out solely the basis of the warrant of the investigative judge. In any other case, granting full access to any declarations would be illegal on behalf of the National Agency and would not contribute to the imposition of legal sentences, the NAPC said in a statement on 8 December.
"[The NACP] asks law enforcement agencies to refrain from putting pressure upon the National Agency, including through the media," the agency stressed.
Earlier, the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Artem Sytnyk said that NABU found no mutual understanding with the NACP on the issue of full access to e-declarations, which hampered the bureau's work.
