The European Parliament has postponed a session on visa liberalization for Ukraine until 1 February 2016, according to the draft resolution's profile on the European Parliament's website, the BBC has said.

The session was previously scheduled for 18 January 2017.

On 15 December, the European Parliament is planning to approve a visa waiver suspension mechanism, which would open the way to visa liberalization for Ukraine and Georgia.

The trialogue on visa liberalization for Georgia is starting this week, likely to be finally approved on 18 January.

The date of a trialogue on Ukraine has not been officially announced yet.
