Four Ukrainian troops were wounded in combat in the antiterrorist operation (ATO) area in Donbas on 22 January, the ATO has said in its regular evening update.

The militants of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics launched 24 fire attacks on the ATO positions from midnight to 6 p.m.

In the Mariupol sector, the militants fired with grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Lebedynske, Maryinka, Chermalyk, Shyrokyne and Vodyane. Snipers were active near Maryinka, Novotroyitske and Krasnohorivka.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants targeted Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka in Popasna District with grenade launchers and small arms.

In the Donetsk sector, they fired with mortars and carried out sniper fire on the village of Pisky, Yasynuvata District. They targeted Novhorodske, Avdiyivka and Zaytseve with grenade launchers and small arms.

On 21 January, the Russian occupying troops launched 33 attacks on the ATO positions on Donbas, no-one was hurt.
