President Petro Poroshenko is convinced that Ukraine is able to respond to cyberattacks waged by Russia.
"Russia wages cyberattacks not only against Ukraine, which has been confirmed. We have a strong cyber-department, so Ukraine is capable of a counterattack. However, Ukraine is not the only target of cyberattacks. All European nations and the United States are objects of cyberattacks," President Petro Poroshenko said during a joint briefing with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö on 24 January.
"We must be prepared for such challenges, because the global security has changed after the illegal annexation of Crimea. Global security used to be based on the UN Charter, but a UN member state has violated this. That is why we should invent a new structure, new principles for global security."
Earlier Poroshenko urged the West to join efforts to counter Russian cyberattacks.
