Two volunteers wounded by sniper

One of them is Yulia Tolmacheva.

On Wednesday, March 8, volunteers Yulia Tolmacheva and Serhiy Adamyak were wounded in Donbas by a "DPR" sniper.

"Volunteer Yulia Tolmachyova is wounded as her Mercedes Vito minivan was attacked by sniper, with some sort of explosive bullets. That happened today at lunch as they were leaving leaving Zhovanka, a Zaitsevo district. Yuliya got injured in the head. The primary examination showed that the brain was not affected, but there seem to be small fragments," journalist Roman Bochkala reported in Facebook.

The driver of the van, volunteer Serhiy Adamyak got wounded in the hand.

The head of the Dnipro regional state administration Tatyana Huba says the condition of the hospitalized volunteers was stable, they are conscious.

"They often went to Zaitseve, they are known by people and people know them," the official said.

Zaitsevo, otherwise known as Zhovanka, is a suburb of Horlivka. A part of Zaitseve is under the control of Ukrainian troops, another part is occupied.

"Volunteers often go there and help locals," the official said.
