The Ministry of Infrastructure is in talks with the German government to raise 100m euros to upgrade suburban train park.

"We plan to buy 10–15 new suburban trains for the needs of the national railway operator Ukrzaliznytsya," the ministry's website cited Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan as saying.

The ministry plans to organize a contest between the cities for the best break-even concept of the use of comfortable trains.
