The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC), Oleksandr Turchynov, has said that he has no presidential ambitions and is not planning to run in the 2019 presidential election, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Nothing like ambitions! I once held the president's post and did not like it. Huge responsibility and absolutely no chance to have a life," he told journalists.
Turchynov has been in charge of the NSDC since December 2014. He was Ukraine's acting president for four months in 2014 after Viktor Yanukovych fled the country and before Petro Poroshenko was elected president.
