Over the past day, militants 22 times violated the Donbas ceasefire agreement. Ukrainian armed forces sustained no losses, the press center of the anti-terrorist operation said in a Facebook report on Tuesday, 12 December.

In the Luhansk sector, the Russia-backed terrorists with the onset of twilight increased the intensity of shelling near the village of Luhanske. From 21:00 Kyiv time until midnight, they every two minutes fired 120-mm and 82-mm mortars at the defense fortifications of the Ukrainian military. Also, the enemy fired mortars at the defenders of Lozova, Krymske and Zaitseve. In the area of Troyitske and Novooleksandrivka, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian support points using infantry fighting vehicles and small arms.

In the Donetsk sector, the enemy fired 120-mm mortars opposite Vodyane in the evening, and 82-mm mortars – at Berezove. In Bohdanivka, terrorists used IFV weapons of the and small arms.

"To suppress enemy fire, when the shelling constituted a direct threat to life and health of our soldiers, Ukrainian troops returned targeted fire using weapons using weapons prohibited by Minsk agreements," ATO headquarters said in the report.

On Monday afternoon, the militants shelled front-line Avdiyivka and damaged a power transmission line. The city was de-energized for about half an hour.
