Around 200 miners are holding a picket outside parliament to demand stronger state support for the coal industry.

They are holding orange casks and trade union flags as well as posters saying "Where are the wages?" and "No to the shutdown of mines".

They want parliament to pass bill No 8362 which would allocate 2.8bn hryvnyas (110m dollars) in support for the coal industry and pay off wage arrears running into 1.1bn hryvnyas.
