Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych can be taken to Israel for treatment, his lawyer Oleksandr Horoshynskyy has said on Facebook.
He came to Moscow to visit his client but failed to see him. Instead, he talked to the surgeon who examined the ex-president's injury.
Yanukovych is allegedly facing a "surgery, maybe more than one", according to the doctor's conclusions, which Horoshynskyy will hand over to Kyiv's Obolonskyy district court hearing the ex-president's case.
The lawyer did not announce the diagnosis or the name of the hospital.
In mid-November, Yanukovych's lawyer said he was injured during a tennis match and would not be able to present his final argument to the court.
