As of noon on 24 March, Ukrainians are banned from leaving the country for tourism, according to a post on Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal's Telegram channel.

"All airports except for Boryspil will cease operation. This concerns passenger transport only," the post reads.

The exception will be made for "measures of state importance on individual orders of relevant ministries.

It says the decision is an inconvenience but should be taken due to the pace of the coronavirus spread.

National railway passenger services have been cancelled as of 18 March.
