The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Aadhar Rinkēvičs informed, that his country stops issuing visas to Russian citizens. He tweed the news through his personal account.
“Considering the Russian aggression, I made the decision to recall the ambassador for further consultations, and to stop issuing visas to citizens of Russian Federation, except for the cases linked to special humanitarian considerations”,- told Rinkēvičs.
To recap, on February 17th, the Russian authorities decided to expel from Moscow the second-ranking diplomat at the US Embassy, Deputy Ambassador Bart Gorman. The State Department called on Russia to stop unjustified expulsions of US diplomats and other officials.
