The press service of the Ukrainian State Service of transport safety (UkrTransBezpeka) reported that Ukrainian road carriers will be able to pass through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania without transit permission.
The Ministry of Infrastructure has talked with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Lithuania to ensure the passage of vehicles through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania to Poland. The issue concerned Ukrainian international road carriers, whose transport is in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
"Until March 15, 2022, Ukrainian road carriers will be able to pass through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania without a transit permit. The Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania has already agreed to allow such vehicles," UkrTransBezpeka informed.
It will be recalled that in early February, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said that Poland would significantly increase the number of permits for Ukrainian carriers. So far, the Ukrainian side is waiting for documentary confirmation from Polish colleagues.
