Russia is engaged in terror. It lied that it would not hurt the civilian population of Ukraine, but from the first hours of the invasion, Russian troops have been hitting residential houses.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his video address on February 27.

“This night was hard. Revenge is what they are doing. The people have risen to defend their state, and they have shown their true faces. This is terror. They are going to bomb our Ukrainian cities even harder. They are going to kill our children even more insidiously. This evil that has come to our land must be destroyed. Power plants, hospitals, kindergartens, residential houses are all under attack every day. What the occupiers are doing in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Okhtyrka and other cities and villages should end in an international tribunal," he said.

All crimes of the enemy are recorded. There would have been many more of them, if not for the Ukrainian defenders.

"Ukrainian forces are repelling the attack, breaking the enemy's plans and doing their work brilliantly. Yes, it's actually a work. Hard work, fundamental, and most importantly fair," he pointed out.

The President added that a decision had been made to significantly increase the salaries for Ukrainian defenders. According to him, the country will pay a high price for this, but nothing has a higher price than life and the struggle for freedom.

International partners help Ukraine with medicines, weapons, food, diesel, money, and gasoline. A powerful anti-war coalition has been formed.

"Very substantive talks were conducted with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, the President of Georgia, the Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Johnson. Each conversation added specifics to the defense capabilities of our country," he said.

He added that Germany had announced the delivery of 1,000 anti-tank grenade launchers and 500 Stringer anti-aircraft defense systems with additional ammunition to Ukraine. Belgium provides 5,000 machine guns and 5 million rounds of ammunition, 4,000 tons of fuel," said the President.

Zelenskyi expressed his gratitude to Polish President Andrzej Duda for all his help and especially for his leadership in granting Ukraine NATO membership.

"We have to call a spade a spade. Russia's criminal actions bear the mark of genocide. I talked to the UN Secretary-General about this. Russia is on the path of evil. The world must come to deprive Russia of the right to vote in the UN Security Council," the President emphasized.
